In October 2024, Manifest started working with Brighter Places on a review of their income collection processes. Beginning with a ‘hit list ‘of issues that required improvements, we began a review of their housing management system. The output from this time of working with the Brighter Places Income Team were key configuration changes to their income collection module, which has resulted in significant time and usability benefits. We have also delivered recovery processes for other customer groups including Shared Owners and Former Tenants.

Sara Bennett, Head of Housing, said:
“Working with our IT team, Manifest rapidly delivered solutions that had an immediate positive impact for the team. The ability to secure accurate and pertinent income data can be attributed to the substantial investment made into our rent arrears module. The enhancements in this module have provided robust support for our collection and recovery efforts, enabling us to better manage and reduce arrears.”
Our work with Brighter Places has gone beyond the Income Team, continuing into 2025. We’ve supported a project to deliver a new repairs and voids service with their latest partner. This included ensuring interfaces between both organisations run smoothly and making system developments to store historical repairs data from their previous provider. Most recently, we completed a review of the voids and lettings processes. Enhancements to the housing management system now enable the Housing Team to manage new voids and lettings more efficiently.
Jeremy Taylor, Head of IT and Data, said
“Working with Manifest has been a fantastic experience. From the start, it was clear they had the expertise and had done this kind of work before. They quickly understood how our business runs, what we were aiming for, and how the software supports that. What really stood out was that they didn’t just deliver solutions, they delivered the right solutions, quickly and without fuss. The whole process was smooth, collaborative, and had an immediate impact. We continue to work with them today and see them as a trusted partner who truly understands what we’re trying to achieve.”
We look forward to continuing to work with Brighter Places on future requirements.
